Sunrise Nov 1st from my hut before 1st work. Everyday we have 2 works. 2 hrs before breakfast and 2 hrs after, so after lunch you are free to do whatever you want. But mondays are different. Before breakfast we have a 45 min moment of silence. You can mediate, read, write, whatever. Then after the moment of silence we learn about your jobs for the week. This week mine is compost. We have three kinds of compost: raw compost, cooked and citrus. And we dispose of each in a different way. After that we did yoga. We have a really good yoga teacher here named Tiago. The more I do yoga the more I become addicted to it. It similar to that of a hallucinogenic drug. Your blood rushes through every vien, muscle and extremity in your body. Breathing becomes rythmic and almost silent, yet every inhale fills you with enough air to lift you off the ground. And if you close your eye lids you become even more entranced by the visual feeling that surrounds your body. I know that may sounds like some hippie-talk but if you havnt done yoga, try it out.
Cooking in the kitchen the other day. Made some pineapple dosas (pancake type things). Up top from left to right is Jay, me, Alex (shiva mandella), and Raja. Jay came with a gang of 15 other Koreans who are on a 8month traveling school. Alex is a german pops, who is living the travelin life for the next 10years. And Raja is a long termer from Behare, he worked weekly chef duty with me last week.
Below is Benny, Raja and Alex.
Dude: Looks awesome and glad you are doing well. One question: Do you do the poops detail in the morning and then cook in the afternoon? If so what hand holds the knife?.....MOre importantly what hand holds the food? Old Chinese saying, "He who poops last has dirty sandels...." Very profound.... GMan
ReplyDeletehaha nice pops...pooping is actually pretty sanitary here, especially compared to the rest of india. You wash your hands thoroughly and even get a biddee after every poop. Getting pretty used to it, i may not be able to make the conversion back to western toilets...Indians think western toilets are unsanitary with everyone butting their butts all in the same area.
